Catherine Spady

Catherine Marie Spady, 77, wife of the late George R. Spady and a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, at Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA. A native of Oyster, VA, she was the daughter of the late Howard L. Parker and the late Edith Louise Brady Parker.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Spady Taylor and her husband, Rooks, of Cheriton, and Hope Spady Evans and her companion, Richard DeCarlo, of Cheriton; three sisters, Loretta Lewis of Cape Charles, VA, Janice Richardson of Cheriton, and Jean Shanley of Cheriton; a brother, Steve Parker of Cheriton; a granddaughter, Amy Taylor of Cheriton; and two great grandchildren, Emma Margaret Appenzeller and Taylor Ann Appenzeller.

To honor her request no public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Barrier Islands Center, 7295 Young Street, Machipongo, VA 23405.
