Grant Robins

September 21, 1922 — September 8, 2020

James Grant Robins, 97, husband of Ida Mae Ward Robins and a resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. A native of Cape Charles, he was the son of the late Chester Milton Robins, Sr. and the late Pearl Winder Robins. He was a United States Army Veteran, retired General Manager for Conrail Railroad, member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Capeville Masonic Lodge #107 AF&AM, and Past President of the Cape Charles Rotary.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three children, Debbie Robins Ritchie and her husband, Bob, of Hawaii, Jim Robins and his wife, Jinger, of Kennesaw, GA, and Steve Robins and his wife, Sue, of Guilford, CT; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, September 13, 2020, at 2:00PM at Cape Charles Cemetery with Pastor Barbara Schweitzer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 326, Cape Charles, VA 23310.
