Mary Jane Valentine

Mary Jane Valentine, 95, a resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020, at her residence. A native of Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Hurley D. Matthews and the late Irene Pearl Willis Matthews.

She is survived by her son, Wayne H. Valentine and his wife, Paula, of Belle Haven; grandson, Michael Valentine of Brooklyn, NY; three great grandchildren, Gavin, Vincent and Ava; and a niece, Judi Matthews Miller. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Valentine, granddaughter, Meredith Valentine, and two twin brothers, Willis and Winvert Matthews.

To honor her request a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
