Robert Maher

Robert Francis Maher, 87, husband of the late Dorothy Gladden Maher and a resident of Nassawadox, VA, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Greenwood, DE. A native of Hebron, NE, he was the son of the late Fountain J. Maher and the late Wilma Cooperider Maher. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, retired from Delmarva Power and Light Company, an avid hunter and member of the NRA.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Maher Shapiro of Milford, DE; three stepchildren, Sandee West of Oklahoma, Russell Gladden of Arizona, and Gary Gladden of California; and two grandchildren, Savannah and Ryan. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Maher.

A private graveside service will be held at Belle Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
