Anne Webb Boole

Anne Webb Boole, 81, wife of the late Garland Thomas "Tom" Boole, and a resident of Chesapeake, VA, passed away July 6, 2017, at her residence. A native of Webb's Island in Machipongo, VA, she was the daughter of the late Nelson Webb and the late Annie Webb West.

Anne was a member of Great Hope Baptist Church in Chesapeake where she served for more than 30 years as church organist. After spending most of her life as a stay at home wife and mother, she began her work career in her 60s as a receptionist for a surgeon. Since retiring, she enjoyed her later years as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was never more happy than when she was surrounded by her ever growing family!

Anne is survived by two children, Michael Boole and his wife, Mary Vick, of Lake Ariel, PA, Marianne Westrich and her husband, Ronald, of Virginia Beach, VA; three grandchildren, Jennifer Musser (Dan) of Madison Township, PA, Elizabeth Halleck (Stephen) of Chesapeake, and Kathryn Gamet (Jonny) of Greenville, SC; and nine great-grandchildren, Micah, Adam, Lauren, Grace, Reagan, Sophie, Julia, Olivia and Josiah. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jane Baldwin Boole. A special thank you needs to go to Whitney Howard, Anne's honorary granddaughter, for her care and love.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at Great Hope Baptist Church, 1401 Battlefield Blvd. South, Chesapeake, VA, with Dr. John W. Godfrey and Dr. John L. Halsey officiating. Graveside and interment services will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 3:00 PM at Johnsons United Methodist Church Cemetery, 11175 Bayside Road, Machipongo, VA. Family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA, Monday, July 10, 2017, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
