Barbara Smith Lewis

Barbara Smith Lewis, 60, of Painter passed away Wednesday December 14, 2005 at her home. A native of Painter, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. "Skeet" Smith and the late Emma Phillips Smith. Ms. Lewis was a teacher's aide for Accomack County Public Schools and a member of Painter-Garrisons United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Sam L. Lewis, Jr. of Painter and his companion Linda Thibodeaux, a brother, Robert A. Smith, Jr. and his wife Jacquelyn of Painter, a uncle, Jack E. Phillips of Gloucester, Va. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore Saturday December 17, 2005 at 11:00 am, with the Rev. Tammy Estep and Rev. Jack D. Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
