Barry James Doughty

August 8, 1947 — January 25, 2018

Barry James Doughty, 70, husband of Diane Lassiter Doughty and a resident of Onancock, VA, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Harborton, VA, he was the son of the late James Tankard Doughty and the late Pauline Bradley Doughty. He was a retired Automobile Dealer and member of Hollies Baptist Church. Barry's greatest love was the Lord, his family and gospel singing.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ashley Pauline Doughty Daniele and her husband, Aaron, of Stafford, VA; a brother, T. Bradley Doughty and his wife, Gloria, of Exmore, VA; a grandson, Elijah Liam Daniele of Stafford; and a nephew, Kevin J. Doughty and his wife, Andrea, of Belle Haven, VA. He was predeceased by a brother, Bryce T. Doughty.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Hollies Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend David Riley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 870 Greenbrier Circle, Greenbrier Tower II, Suite 404, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
