William (Bill) Mapp Hall, died Wednesday, December 17th, 2025, peacefully in his home at the age of 73.

Bill was born February 11th, 1952, and from that day on he spent his life in Oyster, Virginia. Bill was the son of Mellie (Buster) Hall and Mary Lou Crumb-Hall. Bill was married to Barbara Hall, with brother-in-laws: Wayne alongside Mary- Ann, Clifton (Buddy) alongside Eric. Bill and Barbara were blessed with two daughters: Crystal and Billie Jean. He also had a son-in-law, along with two granddaughters: Alexis and Mariah. Bill also had a best friend who he could always depend on: David Long.

Growing up he loved to play basketball, he had the height for it. But as he got older he found a passion, something he enjoyed to do. He be came a commercial water man. Bill spent most of his time out in the water on his boat, gathering clams and oysters. The water, the boat was his peace. But he had one other hobby besides work and that was riding out on his motorcycle. Bill was a Harley Davidson man at heart, he went to bike week just about every year. When it was nice outside he would go for a ride. Bill also loved antique cars, he would drive to different car shows to look at all the different cars. He even bought two. Bill was a very outgoing and active man, he liked to be on the go. There wasn’t a single lazy bone in him.

Within his final days Bill was surrounded by everyone who loves him, people that think the world of him. He was a good man, good husband, good father and a good grandpa. He lived a good life and did exactly what he wanted. He kept pushing through, up to the very end. Bill once used to sing, “Turn out the lights, the parties over”. And it’s with great sadness to see his party end. Gone to soon.
