Bob Murphy

Robert Thomas “Bob” Murphy, 86, husband of Estelle Jett Murphy and a resident of Nassawadox, VA, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023, at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA. A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late George S. Murphy and the late Sarah Elizabeth McDaniel Murphy. He was a United States Army Veteran, retired Virginia State Police Special Agent, member of Broadwater Lodge #71 AF & AM, Past Master of Suffolk Lodge, Member of the Elks B.P.O. E, and Virginia State Police Association.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a grandson, Joshua Scott Murphy; and a daughter-in-law, Valerie Gordy Murphy.  He was predeceased by his son, William Lawrence Murphy.
