Brenda Marie Heinz, 80, of Nassawadox, Virginia, passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Born in Neptune, New Jersey, Brenda was the daughter of the late John Walter Woolley and Violet Tabors Woolley. She was raised in Wall Township, New Jersey, before making Virginia's Eastern Shore her home. For 60 wonderful years, she shared a loving and devoted marriage with her husband, Thomas Heinz.
Brenda dedicated many years of her life to serving others. She worked as the Activities Director at Heritage Hall Nursing Home for approximately ten years, where she brought joy, compassion, and companionship to countless residents.
A woman of deep faith and generous spirit, Brenda was an active member of Franktown United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She found great happiness in reading and crocheting, creating countless prayer blankets for the church's Prayer Blanket Ministry. In later years, she lovingly crocheted blankets for patients receiving treatment at the local cancer center, offering warmth and comfort through every stitch.
Above all, Brenda treasured her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness, faith, and selfless heart touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Thomas Heinz; her daughters, Connie Hammond and her husband, Troy, and Karen Brown and her husband, Chris; six cherished grandchildren; one precious great-grandchild; and many extended family members and dear friends.
Brenda's legacy of love, compassion, and service will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
