Charles Robert DeHayes, 92, husband of the late Tresa DeHayes and a resident of Harborton, VA, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at his home. Born in Cardiff, Wales, he was the son of the late Charles DeHayes and the late Alice Gibson. He was a retired disabled Air Force veteran, and a Shipwright by trade and a sea plane pilot. In his later years he became an Equity actor performing in many plays and musicals. He was a devoted member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Onley, VA.

He is survived by two children: Eric DeHayes and his wife, Michelle, of Harborton, and Carlene Zach and her husband, Peter, of Tennessee. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years.

A Christian funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Doughty Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Michael Imperial officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
