Charles Massey

Charles Douglas Massey, Sr., 83, husband of Juanita Farlow Massey and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Franktown, VA, he was the son of the late James Edgar Massey and the late Annie Radiger Massey. Charlie was retired from the Exmore A&P Store, a member of Maranatha Baptist Church and former member of the Exmore Town Council.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two children, Charles Douglas Massey, Jr. and his wife, Aischa, of Newport News, VA, Allyson Massey Pruitt and her husband, Brian, of Melfa, VA; two step-sons, Tommy Shrieves and his wife, Tara, of Durham, NC, Drummond Shrieves of Quinby, VA; four grandchildren, Stephen Douglas Massey of Goldsboro, NC, Kimberly Anne Massey of Goldsboro, Jenna Cathryn Pittman of Melfa; Anna Paige Pittman of Melfa; four step-grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Kimberly Ann Massey and his first wife, Louise Mapp Massey.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Onancock Cemetery with Reverend Jack D. Pruitt officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Hospice, P. O. Box 615, Onley, VA 23418.
