Chuck Harris, Jr.

Charles “Chuck” Edward Harris, Jr., 65, of Exmore, Va., passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on March 17, 2024 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, Va. Born May 1, 1958 in New Jersey to Parents Charles Edward Harris, Sr (now of Goose Creek, SC) and the late Dorothy Jeanette Harris (formerly Apgar), the family later relocated to Pennsylvania, where Chuck resided until moving to Virginia in 1985.

Chuck is survived by his loving father, children Heather Harris of Washington and Adam Harris of Wisconsin, along with Adam’s wife Amber and children Ava and Adam Jr; brothers Tim Harris of Portsmouth, Va. and Troy Harris of Goose Creek, SC, and his loyal dog Duke. He had been especially close with his late grandfather, LeRoy Apgar of Chester, NJ, with whom he shared a love of restoring antique engines. He had caring friends who remember him as loyal, with a heart of gold, and an expert on engines and all things mechanical.  In his working life, he worked at Sentara Hospitals, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, and most recently for Parks Electrical Service.
