Mrs. Cora Sue Scott Campbell, 79, wife of the late James David Campbell, and a resident of Exmore, passed away April 11, 2026, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.

She was born to Charles “Scotty” Scott and Beatrice Williams Scott on January 31, 1947, in Nassawadox. She graduated from Onancock High School, then attended Nursing School in Nassawadox. She retired from Shore Memorial Hospital as a nurse of 42 years.

She was a devoted member of Hollies Baptist Church. In Cora’s younger years she enjoyed taking friends and family for joy rides in her ‘67 Mustang. She enjoyed reading, canning, and gardening.

She is survived by her brother, Newman T. Scott and wife Sharon; sister, Deborah Russell and husband Alan; Son in law, John Inman; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband; parents; grandparents; Daughter, Susan Inman; Sisters, Sylvia “Tib” Ayers and husband Herman, Vickie Thornes and husband Robert.

A funeral service at Doughty Funeral Home will be held. Date to be determined.

The family would like to extend specials thanks and gratitude to niece, Pam Lewis, for all the care and support she gave Cora.
