Coy Campbell

September 29, 1919 — February 7, 2017

Coy Campbell, 97, husband of the late Helen Rowe Campbell and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. Born in Norton, VA and reared in Limestone Cove, TN, he was the son of the late James David Campbell and the late Bessie Markum Campbell. He was a United States Army Veteran, served in the C.C. Camp and was stationed in Manila during World War II. Coy retired from Dulany Foods with 35 years of service, was a barber, member of Exmore Wesleyan Church and worked 15 years in carpentry with his son, Bobby.

He is survived by four children, Joyce Morgan of Onancock, VA, Judy Bradford and her husband, Wayne, of Exmore; James D. Campbell and his wife, Cora, of Exmore, Donnie Lee Campbell, of Exmore; a sister, Edith Moore of Limestone Cove; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Brenda Sue Campbell; son, Robert Coy Campbell and granddaughter, Sara Beth Bradford.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Johnson's United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Caleb Horne officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hollies Baptist Church, Post Office Box 7, Keller, VA 23401.
