Donald Kellam Sparrow, 64, a resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at his residence. A native of Cape Charles, he was the son of the late Hyden Kellam Sparrow and the late Gay Parks Lassiter. He was a retired produce clerk and member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #56.
He is survived by two sons, Nathan Sparrow and his wife, Megan, of Chesapeake, VA, Bryan Sparrow and his wife, Stacey, of Cheriton, VA; a brother, Michael Parks Sparrow and his wife, Mary Jo, of Eastville, VA; a sister, Barbara Sparrow Jones and her husband, Robert, of Exmore, VA; two grandchildren, Hayden and Analyn Sparrow, both of Cheriton; four nephews; one niece and his wife, Katherine McCoy Sparrow.
A celebration of life service will be conducted Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at American Legion Post #56 in Cheriton with Mr. Barry Downing officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Donald Sparrow Funeral Fund, c/o Doughty Funeral Home, P.O. 633, Exmore, VA 23350.
