Doris Mae Campbell Custis

Doris Mae Campbell Custis, 82, wife of the late Russell Spencer Custis, Sr. and a resident of Craddockville, VA, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at her residence. A native of Bobtown, VA, she was the daughter of the late George Campbell and the late Mildred Kellam Campbell. She was retired from McCaleb Metzler Insurance Company, a member of Craddockville United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose.

She is survived by three children, Pamela C. Stone and her husband, Tommy, of Hilliard, OH, Lynn C. Schwendeman and her husband, Artie, of Melfa, VA, Russ S. Custis and his wife, Angie, of Craddockville; a sister, Barbara C. Phillips and her husband, Jack, of Newport News, VA; a brother, Richard Campbell of Rehobeth, DE; a sister-in-law, Sue C. Lewis and her husband, Jimmy, of Orange, VA; three grandchildren, Joey Schwendeman of Temperanceville, VA, Tracy Schwendeman of Melfa, Heather Custis of Craddockville and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Rob Kelly officiating. Family will join friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5 to 7:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Hospice, P.O.
