Edward Cummings
August 24, 1937 — December 7, 2020
Edward John Cummings, 83, husband of the late Barbara May Price Cummings and a resident of Jamesville, VA, formerly of Turnersville, NJ, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley, VA. A native of Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late Henry Joseph Cummings and the late Sarah Helen Winstanley Cummings, Edward worked for the United States Postal Service retiring after 22 years and was a United States Navy Veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Randy E. Cummings and his wife, Maria, of Wardtown, VA, and Todd Price and Deborah Price, of Sicklerville, NJ; five grandchildren, Jackie, Nate, Billy, Ryan and Steffanie; four great grandchildren, Gianna, Ella, Mia and Sofia; one sister, Sarah Lamonica and her husband, Joe, of Valle, NC; and one brother, Henry Cummings and his wife, Dorothea, of Laurel Springs, NJ. He was predeceased by a son, Troy W. Cummings.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, December 11, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Doughty Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Charles Peterson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to SPCA Eastern Shore, Inc., P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418 or Riverside Shore Cancer Center, P.O. Box 430, Onancock, VA 23417.
