Edward Wilton Richardson

Edward Wilton "Zoot" Richardson, 81, husband of Audrey C. Richardson and a resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Capeville, VA, he was the son of the late Wilton Richardson and Marymerle Custis Richardson. He retired after 40 years of service as a police officer with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and was a member of Lower Northampton Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Wilbanks of Charlotte, NC, and Pamela Parris of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, Robert C. "Bobby" Richardson of Springfield, VA; a niece, two nephews, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 29, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Capeville Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Conrow officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Northampton Baptist Church, c/o Mrs. Anne Gray, P. O. Box 907, Eastville, VA 23347.
