Florence "Flo" Carpenter Golding passed peacefully into her heavenly home on September 18, 2016. Flo was born in Machipongo, Virginia on November 5, 1934 to Della Carpenter Reed. She spent most of her younger years in the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She met the love of her life, James Golding, and married him in 1953. As an Air Force wife they lived all over the United States finally settling in Panama City, FL.

Flo is survived by her husband of 62 years James Golding; her daughters Debbie Baxley (James), Karen Summers, and her son Bobby Golding (Michelle); Brother, Alvin T. Carpenter of Machipongo, Va, Sisters, Violet Fitzhugh (Frank) of Capeville, Va and Helen Wilson of Townsend, Va; her grandchildren, Lindy Matej (Jason) Amethyst Leyva, Kristie Welch (Jason), Joshua Summers (Melissa), Matthew Summers (Natasha), Daniel Golding, Weston Golding ; her great grandchildren, Haley Holmes, Alexis O'Connor, Kaitlyn Dragon, Sydney Welch, Hannah Matej, Serena Tindal, Gavin Leyva, Justin Leyva, Gavin Tindal, Kristiana Summers, Landon Summers, McKinley Summers, Carson Golding, Wyatt Summers and her great-great grandchild, Charlie Sparkman. Flo was a very creative and artistic woman who loved to make life beautiful. She was a beautician that specialized in perms and beehives. Flo created beautiful flower arrangements for your home but loved most of all being a wedding florist. She owned Golding's Florists for many years then opened Weddings by Flo in 1979. She created so many beautiful memories for local families through her flowers and catering services. Flo also spent many hours helping others either through her church or visiting nursing homes giving gifts of love and attention to all she met. She loved the Lord with all her being and her family is so thankful she has come home to Him.

Celebration services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6-8 pm. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
