Frederick Walter Gray

July 12, 1934 — February 1, 2017


Frederick Walter Gray, 82, husband of Anne Shockley Gray and a resident of Eastville, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Eastville, he was the son of the late Walter B. Gray and the late Bessie Umphlett Gray. He was the retired owner of Gray's Furniture, a member of Lower Northampton Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Trustee, served as council member for the Town of Eastville for many years and an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two daughters, Beth G. Uzzle and her husband, Derrick, of Virginia Beach, VA, Wendy G. Buck and her husband, Guy, of Yorktown, VA and six grandchildren, Rachel Hall, Chris Buck, Ethan Buck, Nathan Hall, Katie Hall and Walter Buck.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Lower Northampton Baptist Church with Reverends Jeff Conrow and Keith Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Eastville Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047 or Lower Northampton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 907, Eastville, VA 23347.
