George H. Cranmer

George Holmes Cranmer, 81, husband of Miriam Dorman Calamia and a resident of Pungoteague, VA, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at his residence. A native of Bayville, NJ, he was the son of the late Paul Cranmer and the late Margaret Ann Dorset Cranmer. He was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by four children, Carole Perry and her husband, Michael, of Dublin, VA, Kathryn Miller and her husband, Gary, of Ft. Pierce, FL, Andee Webb of Hallwood, VA, and Bob Tice and his wife, Pam, of Toms River, NJ; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Cranmer was predeceased by his wife, Patricia A. Cranmer, a son, James Paul Cranmer, and two daughters, Laura and Lorna Hemlock.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverends Steve and Donna Doan officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
