Georgie Mae Stevens

Georgie Mae Saunders Stevens, 89, wife of the late Conway Stevens and a resident of Keller, VA, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. A native of Willis Wharf, VA, she was the daughter of the late George Saunders and the late Emma Lewis Saunders. She was a member of Hollies Baptist Church, having taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She was also a longtime member of Keller Town Council.

She is survived by two sons, David C. Stevens and his wife, Jane, of Leemont, VA, and Michael Trent Stevens of Keller; one sister, Dora Saunders Bell of Keller; one granddaughter, April Stevens; and three great grandchildren. Other than her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Weldon Thomas Saunders, and two sisters, Julia Bell Saunders Smith and Mary Saunders Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Hollies Baptist Church with Reverends David Riley and Jack D. Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Hollies Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will join friends one hour prior to service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hollies Baptist Church, P.O. Box 7, Keller, VA 23401.
