Graham Richards

Graham Richards, 90, of Exmore, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, in Norfolk, Virginia. A devoted husband, father, and friend, he is now reunited with his beloved wife of 64 years, Julia Richards, who followed him in passing just weeks later.

Born on March 19, 1935, in the United Kingdom, Graham built a life defined by quiet strength, steady commitment, and love for his family. He was the proud father of Michael and David Richards, and a father-in-law to David’s wife, Cassandra. He was also a beloved grandfather to Emily and Chelsea Richards, who brought him great pride and happiness.

Graham was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Ellen (Brown) Richards.

Graham was a dedicated electrical engineer whose long career in manufacturing was marked by innovation and integrity. He earned an Associate’s Degree that set the foundation for his professional path, but it was his hands-on work ethic and calm determination that truly shaped his success.

At home in Exmore, Graham lived a life of principle and purpose. Though reserved, he was deeply caring and loyal, always putting his family first. He is remembered by all who knew him as a man of quiet dignity, a dependable presence, and a true gentleman.

A joint service in celebration of Graham’s and Julia’s life will be held at a later date. Their family finds comfort in knowing they are together again—hand in hand, as always.
