Gwendolyn Swam

Gwendolyn Elaine Swam, 71, wife of the late Dale S. Swam and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021, at her residence. A native of Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Chester Tackett and the late Sally Mae Bently Tackett.

She is survived by three children, Sandy Burlock of Exmore, Mendy Edwards of Nassawadox, VA, and Anthony Edwards of Harboton, VA; two stepchildren, Crissy Swam and Amy Swam, both of Maryland; two sisters, Peggy Crow and her husband, Clyde, of Maryland, and Kathy Garrett and her husband, George, of Pennslyvania; two brothers, David Tackett of Pennsylvania, and John Kennedy of Virginia; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A family celebration of life service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastern Shore SPCA, Inc. PO Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
