Henry J. Heneghan, Jr.

Henry J. Heneghan, Jr., 84, husband of Jo Ann Griffith Heneghan and a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018, at his residence. A native of Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Henry Heneghan, Sr. and the late Leola Dean Heneghan. He was a graduate of Yale University, former Vice President of Finance and retired Electrical Engineer Professor for the University of Bridgeport, former owner of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service in Cheriton, and past member of Cape Charles Rotary and Cheriton American Legion.

In addition to his loving wife of 62 years, he is survived by three children, Brenda Anderson and her husband, Frank, of Virginia Beach, VA, Scott Heneghan of Seaview, VA, and Mark Heneghan of Cheriton; a sister, Dorothy Stoeppel of Stratford, CT; and a grandson, Griffith Anderson of Virginia Beach.

To honor his requests no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Shore Hospice, P.O. Box 616 Onley, Virginia 23418.
