James Cabel Irving, III

James Cabel Irving III, 64, a resident of Chesapeake, VA, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake. A native of Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late James Cabel Irving, Jr. and the late Fannie Mae Melson Irving. He owned and operated a lawn care business, was a United States Army veteran, an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors.

He is survived by a brother, Michael Lewis Irving and his wife, Theresa, of Chesapeake; a nephew, Michael James Irving of Chesapeake; and numerous cousins and close friends.

A celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 1:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home, 3117 Main Street, Exmore, VA, with Reverend Jack D. Pruitt officiating. Casual and comfortable dress is encouraged, as Jimmy would have it no other way.
