James E. "Buddy" Johnson

James Elbert "Buddy" Johnson, 76, husband of the late Virginia Page Johnson and a resident of Exmore, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at his residence. He was the son of the late James J. Johnson and the late Mary Ann Beach Throckmorton. Mr. Johnson was retired and attended Melfa United Methodist Church. Survivors include his companion, Addie Stevens of Exmore, six step children, Gina, Melvin, Gloria, Gwen, Angela, and Becky; two brothers, John Johnson and his wife Joanne of Chesapeake, VA and Donald Johnson and his wife Jean of Danbury, CT; two sisters, Mary L. Thornton and her husband John of Melfa, VA and Barbara Craig and her husband Ed of Clarksville, TN; and numerous step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Melvin and Mickey Johnson. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 3:00 PM from Melfa United Methodist Church with the Rev.
