Jane Sturgis

Margaret Jane Sturgis, 87, wife of the late Stewart E. "Jack" Sturgis III and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A native of Vienna, VA, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. Etter and the late Catherine Darnall Etter. Mrs Sturgis was a Catholic.
She is survived three sons, Ronald G. Dimsey of Exmore, Rick Dimsey and his wife, Judy, of Sterling, VA, and Calvin J. Dimsey III of Exmore; a daughter, Jeannie Dimsey Shadoan and her husband, Michael, of Centerville, VA; a brother, James Etter and his wife, Nancy, of Fairfax, VA; a sister, Shirley E. Gorham and her husband, Kenny, of Winchester, VA; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Cindi Pelli and her first husband, Calvin J. Dimsey.
Family will join friends Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Doughty Funeral Home to celebrate Jane's life. Flowers will be accepted.
