He passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018, at home with his family by his side, in Boykins, VA. He was the youngest child of the late Harvey and Helen Reynolds. He grew up in the family home built by his parents in the village of Oyster on Virginia's Eastern Shore.

Jeff attended Cheriton Elementary School in Cheriton, VA, and Northampton High School in Eastville, VA. Jeff worked as a machinist for the Caterpillar Company in South Carolina and the Newport News Shipyard, Newport News, VA.

According to his parents Jeff was in such a big hurry to be born he almost was born in the car on the way to the hospital. They teased him afterward that this was the last time he was in that big of a hurry!! Jeff was a carefree, happy youngster and was rarely seen without a smile on his face.
