Joyce Ann Taylor

Joyce Ann Taylor, 76, a resident of Pungoteague, VA, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017. A native of Willis Wharf, VA, she was the daughter of the late George Preston Taylor and the late Gladys Gaskill Taylor.

She is survived by a son, John Gardner, Jr. of Painter, VA; a daughter Angie Blankenship and her husband, Ricky, of Melfa; a grandson, Jesse Gardner of Melfa, VA; a god daughter Edna Lenae Parker of Deep Creek, VA and her extended family; a sister, Mona Turner and her husband, Wayne, of Belle Haven, VA; and several special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Odell Bradford, Elouise Barlow and Gay Elva Powell.

Joyce loved sunsets at the beach, her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking for her family, especially at Christmas, the simple things in life.

A memorial service will be conducted Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at 29367 Harborton Road, Painter, VA, with Reverend Rob Kelly officiating.
