Judy Darlene Hopkins

Judy Darlene Hopkins, 59, a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the home of her mother. A native of North Carolina, she was the daughter of Geraldine Page Ferebee of Melfa, VA and the late George Ferebee, Sr. She was employed as manager of Peter Cartwright Manor and was a member of Exmore Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Dustin Robert Hopkins of Exmore, Dennis George Hopkins of Colorado; three sisters, Bonita Kay Bell of Salem, NJ, Cynthia Susanne Swartz of Somers Point, NJ, Diana Carol Ferebee and her husband, Raouf Ghaly, of Dumont, NJ; a brother, George Ferebee, Jr. of Melfa; several grandchildren; and a devoted cousin and caregiver, Gwendolyn Johnson, of Melfa.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 26, 2017, at 2:30 PM at Exmore Baptist Church with Reverend Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Doughty Funeral Home, P. O. Box 633, Exmore, VA 23350.
