Judy Hopper

Judith Carol "Judy" Hopper, 70, of Townsend, VA, was received into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Judy was the daughter of the late Franklin and Marguarite Hopper. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bobby Webb and her sister, Gloria H. Young. Judy was born and raised in Capeville, VA, graduated from Northampton High School and retired as a meat cutter at Cheriton Super Market.

She was a lifelong member of Lower Northampton Baptist Church where she served as Church Clerk. Her lovely poetry could be found in the church bulletin many Sundays.

Judy had a dry wit, an inexhaustible supply of humor and her daily "ponderings" on Facebook were enjoyed by many.

Left behind to cherish her memory are several family members and friends too numerous to count.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Contributions in Judy's name may be made to Lower Northampton Baptist Church, c/o Annette Brown, 5425 Tyson Circle, Cape Charles, Virginia 23310.
