Julia Wendy Richards, 87, of Exmore, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she was preceded in death just weeks earlier by her beloved husband of 64 years, Graham Richards, whom she now rejoins in eternal rest.
Julia was a loving mother to her sons Michael and David Richards, and David’s wife Cassandra. She was a proud grandmother to Emily and Chelsea Richards, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her brother, John Albert Bacon.
Julia lived a life rooted in love, family, and simple joys. She found peace in her garden, pleasure in a good book, and purpose in her beautiful sewing projects. Her home was often filled with the sound of music, a reflection of her deep appreciation for the arts. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
A faithful member of Hungars Church, Julia was guided by her quiet strength and enduring faith. She will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering love for those around her.
A joint service in celebration of Julia’s and Graham’s life will be held at a later date. In the meantime, her family finds comfort in knowing she is once again with Graham, tending heaven’s garden together.
