Karen Broadwater

Karen Brown Broadwater, 67, of Quinby, VA, went to meet the Lord Friday, July 25, 2025. Born May 6, 1958, to Powell W. Brown and Mary E. Brown of Quinby. She worked for numerous offices on the Eastern Shore for over 44 years. She was friendly and outgoing and never met a stranger.

She is survived by her companion, Donald Matthews; sister, Sylvia Scanlan; sister-in-law, Patti Brown; niece, Pamela Wells (Darrell); nephew, Clifford W. Brown, Jr. (Kristal); two great nephews, Matthew Wells and Colton Brown who she loved dearly; and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Clifford W. Brown.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 2:00PM, at Smith Chapel Church with Lori Mitchell officiating. Family will join friends at the church an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Quinby Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to Smith Chapel Church, c/o Gwen Blake, 5046 Seaside Road, Exmore, VA 23350.
