Karl Johnson

March 3, 1957 — November 16, 2023

Karl Johnson Sr. 66 a long-time resident of Smyrna, DE and retiree of Little Torch Key, FL passed away on November 16th, 2023.

He was the son of the late Robert and Gladys Johnson of Middletown, DE.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Johnson, of 31 years and their son, Karl Johnson Jr. (Danielle) and stepdaughters, Nichole Pressley (Bill) and Tricia Ryan (Craig).  In addition, Karl’s sister, Joan Saulsbury, and brother, Robert Johnson (Karen).   Karl loved his grandchildren, Lilliana, Zoe’, Blane, and Jaylen.  He enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews and friends.

Karl is proceeded in death by his son, Steven and stepson Ronnie.

Karl served in the Army and went on to work for Chrysler. In 1995, he opened K & K Cycles in Smyrna, DE.  Karl loved traveling across the country on his motorcycle.  He made numerous trips to Sturgis and Daytona for bike week.  Karl was in recovery and actively helped to sponsor and mentor others through the process.

Karl was a strong believer in the Christian faith and strived to see the good in every situation and with all the people he met.  Chapel and graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 28th, 2:00 p.m., at Wilkins-Doughty funeral home in Cape Charles, VA.
