Keith Elwood Joynes

Keith E. Joynes, 66, and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. A native of Parksley, VA, and Belle Haven, VA, he was the son of the late Robert E. Joynes and the late Evelyn Huether Joynes. He was a carpenter, talented artist and guitarist.

He is survived by a sister, Charlene J. Long and her husband, Somers, of Willis Wharf, VA; a niece, Betsy Gagnon and her husband, Nik, of Machipongo, VA; a nephew, Joshua Long of Willis Wharf; and four great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Tommy Joynes, Bobby Joynes, and Henry Joynes.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Rob Kelly officiating. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Hospital Auxiliary, P.O. Box 430, Onancock, VA 23417.
