Kevin Voyles, Sr

August 23, 1969 — July 23, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kevin Lee Voyles Sr. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on August 23, 1969, in Virginia, he was a beloved son, father, grandfather, and cherished friend to many.

Kevin Lee Voyles Sr. leaves behind his family to carry on his legacy: his mother Shirley Anderson, his children: Ebonie (Quinton) Carter, Jessica Kirkwood, Tazmonique Lankford, Keyvina Voyles, Taijah Davis, Kevin Voyles Jr.(Hailey), Christian Wise, Kevon Voyles, Karrel Voyles Torres, Logan Logan, Verai Postell, two stepchildren, and seven grandchildren: Douglass Henderson Jr., Roosevelt Barner Jr., Quincy Carter, Amariana Kirkwood, A’Mia Gross, Malani Lankford, and Baby Davis; and a host of cousins and devoted friends.

He was preceded in death by his father: Wayne Anderson, and his beloved grandmother, Ruby.

Throughout his life, Kevin worked hard to earn a good income, providing for his children through various roles, including restaurant management, supervisor at local chicken plants, and supervisor management over multiple shipping warehouses. He exemplified that working smarter, rather than harder, is key to success in any job.

Kevin was a jack-of-all-trades with a passion for helping everyone who encountered him. Whatever someone needed, he made it happen—whether as a counselor, carpenter, mechanic, job coach, or tax preparer, he ensured everyone was covered. He always took the opportunity to offer lectures and guidance to help individuals achieve stability in their lives.

Kevin was cherished by many. He brought joy to every occasion and had a great sense of humor. A die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he proudly supported the black and yellow team. In addition to football, Kevin also loved basketball, both at the college and professional levels. He enjoyed watching the Olympic Games as well.
