Lois Tanza

Lois Tanza, 72, wife of Gaetano A. Tanza, a resident of Machipongo, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at her residence. A native of Nesconset, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis Blau and the late Mildred Bahn Blau. She was a retired bookkeeper for the town of Smithtown, NY.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by six children, Paul Vitulli and his wife, Renee, of Jacksonville, FL, Tracy Vitulli of Brooklyn, NY, Diana Vitulli of California, Heather Tanza of North Carolina, Christine Tanza Mosslih and her husband, Michael, of Patchogue, NY, and Frank Tanza and his wife, Christina, of Patchogue; a brother, William Blau and his wife, Pat, of North Carolina; a sister, Janet Dumont of Chesapeake, VA; and eight grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418 or National Wildlife Federation, P.O. Box 1691, Merrifield, VA 22116-1691.
