Marty Toner

Martha Louise Toner, better known as Marty, 75, wife of Robert B. Toner and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her residence. A native of Gloversville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald Staley and the late Marion Baker. She was a retired secretary and administrative assistant, a watercolor artist, member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Eastern Shore Art League and former manager of the Eastern Shore Art League Gallery.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by seven children, Mark E. Blakeslee and his wife, Thaba, of Edenton, NC, Michael H. McCormack and his partner, Adam Wolfe, of Tenafly, NJ, Brenda M. Blakeslee of Portsmouth, VA, Russell J. McCormack and his wife, Marely, of Siloam, NC, Loralei M. Waddell and her husband, Bubba, of Portsmouth, VA, Teshia J. Shults and her husband, Chris, of Gloversville, NY, Ray Roberts and his wife, Susan, of Lowgap, NC; three sisters and a brother; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother.
A celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Doughty Funeral Home with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. Inurnment will be private in St. Charles Borromeo Memorial Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Cancer Center, Post Office Box 17, Nassawadox, VA 23413.
