Mary Pitts Bain, 88, wife of the late Willis Bain and a resident of Nassawadox, VA, formerly of Lancaster, VA, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. A native of Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Pitts and the late Ollie Marsh Pitts. She was a graduate of Pan American Business College, retired from the telephone company, Peoples Life Insurance Company, Department of Social Services, a Secretary for R.O. Norris Law Firm and a lifetime member of Providence Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Ellen P. Camden of Exmore, VA; a brother, James R. Pitts of Savannah, GA; two nephews, Sid Camden and his wife, Susan, of Shawboro, NC, and Major James Gordon Pitts of the United States Air Force; and two great nephews, Tyler Camden of Greenville, NC, and Ryan Camden of Shawboro.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Tucker Bean officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church, c/o Rhonda Lewis, 165 Lara Ridge Road, Lancaster, VA 22503.
