Mary Blanche Hyslop

Mary Blanche Hyslop, 93, wife of John S. Hyslop and a resident of Exmore, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Cheriton, Mrs. Hyslop was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Audrey Richardson Shackleford. Mrs. Hyslop was a retired secretary, member of the Belle Haven United Methodist Church, and past president of the Woman's Club of the Eastern Shore. Other than her husband, she is survived by a son J.S. Hyslop, III and his wife Margie of Gaithersburg, MD; a nephew, Norman Gladden and his wife Lou of Cheriton , VA and Nevada; a sister, Indie Shackleford Sheets and her husband Stan of Williamsburg, VA; and several cousins. A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Rev. Jack D. Pruitt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
