Melanie Renee Baum, 18, a resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020. A native of Cape Charles, she was the daughter of Thelma Marie Lewis Baum of Cape Charles, and Danny Lee Baum of Blackstone, VA. Melanie was a cook for C-Pier at the Oyster Farm.
In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by, a brother, Danny Lee Baum, Jr. of Crisfield, MD; two sisters, Kayla Baum of Cape Charles, and Lauren Baum of Seattle, WA; five aunts, Bobette Price, Robin Orsinger, Laura Coffey, Carla Horner, and Tracey Baum; two uncles, Robert Lewis and Carl Baum; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, June 26, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Cape Charles Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Conrow officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses to Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home, P. O. Box 876, Exmore, VA 23350.
