Nancy J. Hansen

Nancy Jean Hansen, 85, wife of the late Rolf B. Hansen and a resident of Parksley, VA, passed away Monday, January 30, 2016, at Riverside Shore Rehabilitation Center. A native of Huntington, W. VA and reared in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Oscar W. Funk and the late Wilma Jean Chapman Funk. She was a nurse having worked for Dr. John Snyder, Arcadia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Heritage Hall Healthcare, Hermitage on the Eastern Shore, and Hospice of the Eastern Shore.

Nancy, a truly unforgettable character, was better known as "Meme" to her loved ones. She is survived by three daughters: Lisa Hanscom and husband, Bradford, of Melfa, VA, Christy Breuker and husband, Greg, of Onancock, VA, Nora Cavaliero of Melfa; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren: Aaron and Whitney and son, Finley, Heather & Chris and son, Caison, and daughter, Aubree, Brittany and Tye, Hannah, and Logan.

To honor her request, no public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
