Pauline Turner James Sturgis

Pauline Turner James Sturgis, 72, wife of Willie L. Sturgis and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, December 08, 2016 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Norfolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Turner and the late Lelia Spence Turner. She was a retired social worker for Telmon Corporation and attended New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by three children, Tina James of Chesapeake, VA, Lynn James of Rehoboth, DE, Devone B. James of Newport News, VA; a sister, Martha Walker of Exmore; a brother, Purnell Turner of Belle Haven, VA; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

To honor her wishes no public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family at 6244 Bayside Road, Exmore, Virginia 23350.
