Rev. Scott Lee Mears, 82, of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, beloved husband of Nancy Lee Carver Mears, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
Born to the late Preston Lee Mears and the late Gwendlyn Hunter Mears, Scott dedicated his life to to faith, family, and service. A devoted servant of the Lord, he retired as a Baptist preacher from Hollies Baptist Church and faithfully pastored Berks Bible Church for 33 years, ministering throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. His steadfast commitment to his to his congregation and community touched countless lives and reflected his deep love for Christ.
In addition to his wife, Nancy Lee, he is survived by his children, Stephen Lee Mears, Mark Lee Mears (Heidi), and Matthew Lee Mears (Beth); six grandchildren, Makaila, Nathanael, Jonathan, Joshua, Benjamin, and Isaiah; and a sister, Connie Marie Robinette. He was predeceased by his brother, Preston Lee Mears, Jr., and sister, Judy M. Hartbarger.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Hollies Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor John Burr officiating.
Rev. Mears will be remembered for his unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and lifelong devotion to sharing God’s word.
