Rickey Bradford

July 27, 1953 — May 1, 2017

Richard Thomas Bradford, 63, husband of Theresa Kilmon Bradford and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. A native of Willis Wharf, VA, he was the son of the late Vernon Clyde Bradford and the late Stella Barnes Bradford. He was a waterman.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a sister, Kathy Bradford Sturgis and her husband, Todd, of Scarborough Neck, VA; a step sister, Ruth Ann Daniels and her husband, Stanley, of Wenona, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two children, Richard Thomas Bradford II, Michelle Leigh Bradford; two brothers, Vernon Clyde Bradford, Jr., Kerwin Craig Bradford; and a step mother, Verna S. Bradford.

A celebration of life service will be conducted Friday, May 5, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Jonathan Carpenter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Cancer Center, P.O. Box 430, Onancock, VA 23417 or to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 6400 East Grant Road, Suite 170, Tucson, AZ 85715.
