Rita Fay Mears, 70, of Melfa, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at her home. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter Belote and Fannie Belote of Quinby. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas E. Mears Sr; a son, Thomas (T.J.) E. Mears Jr. (Tammy), a daughter, Jackie Lilliston; brother, Butch Belote, sisters, Connie West and Linda Parks; 6 grandchildren, Tabitha, Tiffany, Blake, Lane, Kenadie, and Raylan; and 8 great grandchildren.
