Robert L. Bodine
September 16, 1932 — April 21, 2018
Robert L. Bodine, aged 85 years, of Cedar View, VA, passed away April 21, 2018, in Virginia Beach, VA. Born and raised in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late Harold Bodine and the late Mary Gudloski Bodine. Mr. Bodine graduated from Temple University and worked for Camden Beer and UPS before joining the State of New Jersey. He retired in 1988 after a 25 year career as a supervisor with the State Department of Labor. After retirement, Mr. Bodine and his beloved wife, Louise Emily Bodine, returned to her childhood hometown of Belle Haven, VA. Mrs. Bodine preceded her husband in death, passing in 1995.
Mr. Bodine is survived by his nephew, Rance (Pat) Bodine of Lehigh Acres, FL; his grandson, Barry (Sue) Godsey of Grayslake, IL; and his 2 great-grandsons, Hunter and Aidan Godsey of Grayslake.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, April 27, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Jack D. Pruitt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mary Janes Home for Senior Living, 1060 Rittman Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23464.
