Robert Nolen Gillispie, 88, husband of the late Luella Ellen Tolman Gillispie and a resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Baltimore County, MD, he was the son of the late Thomas J. Gillispie and the late Drucilla Nolen Gillispie. He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his companion, Louise Powell of Cape Charles; and four children, Gene Gillispie and his wife, Trudy, of Max Meadows, VA, Bobby Gillispie of Westminster, MD, Bill Gillispie of Orlando, FL, and Mike Gillispie of Randallstown, MD.
A celebration of life service will be conducted Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Janet C. Allen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
